What was the highlight of Hotel Casa Isla de Manga

I'm going back to Cartegena in a few weeks and I will stay there.

Excellent price, good breakfast, and room and bathroom was spotless. Staff arranged travel for me. Ceiling fan cooled the room enough to sleep.

I should have reserved a room that had airconditioning. It was a 25 minute walk to the bridge going to the walled city, but easy to follow the map they gave me.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here after shipping our car from Panama to Cartagena. The hotel is in walking distance to all the offices. Once we were done, we could park the car in front of the hotel.

There is not much in the neighbourhood.

Very nice place to stay

Very clean and very helpful staff, whatever you need they are willing to help

Nothing really, it is a 15 minute car from the historical city centre so without a car is a bit inconvenient

Ask in the reception for the real price and also take care with a bad girl at the check out.

It was fresh enough not need air conditioner.

The girl at the reception when we where making the check out told me that I was there before, in front of my my partner, it was very uncomfortable, my sister was there with her boyfriend mothns ago and refer me the hotel, she is really inappropriate, my partner and I had a problem for that comment Also the reservation said the price was 67COP and all the taxes includes, at the moment to pay the girl says it was 79COP because taxes was not include.

breakfast not too bad Guy at front desk is smiling and helpful

-The location is horrible. It is literally in the middle of nowhere, next to a commercial harbour, and some heavy trafficed roads. Taxi drivers can`t even find it. I thought it was close to the promenade, but it is 30 minutes walk. -My "deluxe double room" was a tiny cottage in the middle of the building with no windows. I brought a friend to show some pictures and had to pay 25 000 xtra! -Price is high considering location and room quality

Homemade breakfast in lovely hotel near the harbor of Cartagena

Our family vacation, we were 6 persons and booked three double rooms in this hotel. As the staff was really friendly, we quickly felt at home here. And each morning we were happy to have this delicious homemade breakfast with juice, coffee, eggs, arepas (typical food), sandwiches or empanadas. This hotel is not in the city centre, but just few blocks away you'll arrive at the harbor and from there it's a 15-25 minutes walk to the castle San Felipe. It's also possible to take a taxi for 8000-10000 peso. This worked really fine for us.

So far everything was fine. At the beginning we had smaller rooms with a fan and there was no closet to put our clothes, what's okay for a weekend trip, but a little bit difficult if you stay more than one week. But there was no problem, we could easily change our booking/the rooms. There are also rooms with air conditioner and closet. Next time we would directly book these rooms.

Off location and not so clean rooms

You get a private bathroom and breakfast for a fair price

The location is completely off and the area feels unsafe (even for an experienced backpacker). If you want to stay at isla de manga it's an okay location but if you want to get to the city center it's too far away.

Isla de Manga is nice, except this corner.

Location is good if you need to be close to the port to import something. Otherwise not. Very helpfull staff.

The room was clean, staff was very friendly, helpful in giving directions/recommendations of things to do and places to eat. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good hotel on a budget. I will stay here again next time I'm in Cartagena.

The breakfast was simple but okay.

The breakfast was simple but okay. The staff was friendly!

The room smelt a bit stale and was small. You can't not walk to the city centre and have to take a cab (6000 / 7000 peso's). The neighbourhood felt a bid dodgy.
